Younews.ge is the media collaboration platform of Georgia

This is the back-end site of the main younews.ge site addressed to the public at this address (note that at present, April 2024, the front-end is not yet online) and meant as a collaborative platform where to write and moderate articles.

Articles, whatever field they belong to, and whatever their political or scientific bias (inevitable, inasmuch as the details are always distinguished from an overall view) have to comply with an acceptable level of quality and they don't have to be misleading, that is aimed at reaching whatever purpose behind the explicit topic of the article itself.

Anyone can write on younews.ge, first creating an account, then registering either an article, or an article review, through the form News article, and the form News digest, but currently only articles which comply with the rule stated above will be published: even if, as editorial staff, we don't plan to moderate the articles one by one, instead, we grant permissions to the authors, writers or journalists we believe deserving, of course independently by their political beliefs and opinions over specific subjects.

Finally (for all other clarifications and details see the sections below) as long as younews.ge enjoys some income even indirectly related to the contents posted on the site, through advertising (if allowed on the site), donations, grants, and other kind of income, those will be shared with all the authors and "users" of the site who did a significant contribution: where the word "significant" is designated by the entire community of our initiative.

Create an account from here, the account can be created either with your real name and/or with an anonymous username (your contents will be moderated in any case), and you can therefore have both an official and an anonymous account, which nonetheless will be equally moderated ... read more

FAQ

Who can publish on Younews.ge ?

Everyone is welcome to publish either articles, news digests, or even to create a new kind of quality check, and to enrich the platform in any way. The first audience of the platform are expected to be students of the faculty of journalism or political science and their profs, however whatever commentator and even professional writers/journalists are strongly encouraged to contribute with the platform

Are contents moderated and the published articles belong to me (as author) ?

Younews.ge policy is that contents are moderated by administrators and moderators following the agreed rules/set of guidelines of the platform, however a strong emphasis is given to authorship of articles: articles and news digests are expected to belong to the respective authors and therefore only minimal changes are allowed or encouraged by other users/authors. Specific technical measures might be implemented at this regard.

In what language articles should be ?

Currently we accept articles in Georgian and English (it will be discussed whether to insert Russian as well). An article in another language than English shall include a summary in English.

What is the purpose of Younews.ge ?

Younews.ge aspires to be a collaborative platform distinguished by high journalistic and literary standard, where talented individuals can express their skills, and possibly different media can converge onto an unique platform.

How younews.ge can be immediately used ?

You can just add a News media entry in order to contribute to create a comprehensive list of online newspapers and news media platforms for each country (starting from Georgia). Then you could create an article, write a News digests, and to fill-in a quality check for any article on the web.
Following, you can contribute more substantially, expanding the overall structure of the platform.
